Capturing some portraits of Jordan and Tina on their wedding day happened purely by chance. I was visiting the Santa Barbara courthouse with my family during my last visit out there. I started to chat to the two of them and found out they were there to get married! Their friend who was meant to take pictures had an emergency and couldn’t come. I had always wanted to photograph at the historic courthouse with its beautiful tropical greenery, the gorgeous tower and the colorful tiled interior. It’s just so Californian, something I often miss now that I live in another country. I just happened to have my camera with me, so it was the type of serendipity that rarely happens in life. Tina and Jordan were completely lovely and radiated happiness as they headed in to their elopement ceremony.
